A Nigerian man, Jacob Adewumi, receives N1.3 million Donations from Bat Lawyers to settle Daughter's School fees
Jacob Adewumi has, after being severely mocked by a few Nigerians for asking for help, received over N2.63 million donations from Bat Lawyers and other good Nigerians for daughters school fees.
Jacob shared this in the earlier hours of Sunday on his social media profile, soliciting financial help from the government and individual to sort out the school tuition of his ABUAD 400-level daughter, Adeola.

“My daughter is a 400-Level law student of ABUAD, and she’s doing well in her studies,” he said
“Because my business has been struggling lately, I haven’t been able to pay her tuition balance of #1,336, 300 . She only has 5 days left to make the payment, or she will be asked to leave
“I am calling on well meaning Nigerians for assistance. Your #1000, #10,000, #100,000, etc will go a long way in helping out.
“Name: Adewumi Adeola Sarah

GTB. Adeola’s dream must not die! Thanking you in advance,” Mr Jacob Adewumi added.
However, while Mr Jacob waited in hope of support from good-hearted Nigerians, he was a few hours later hauled with a barrage of insults from different X social media users.
“Kindly enrol her in one of the free schools built by this administration or better still apply for student loan. I think your car can be used as collateral,” one of the commenters said to him.
“You shouldn’t be looking for fees online. There are lots of free schools built by this government. Help her choose the one that fits her squarely,”one man, who was angry at him for voting for President Tinubu, replied to his message.”
Again, while his heart beat in anticipation of an angelic help, another pro-peter Obi supporters verbally attached him.
“Adeola’s dream is dying in front of you and you’re crowdfunding when the government you support can’t even provide student loans for Adeola. You are a failure. You have failed as a man. You are an embarrassment to Adeola.
“You’re begging for money for Adeola yet still dickriding Tinubu who has made it difficult for you to be responsible to Adeola. You are a failure and you don’t deserve to be Adeola’s father,” another man said to him.
Dr FX said he was one of the “fascists” like Prof Wole Soyinka.
“And you are an embarrassment. This is democracy, everyone has a right to vote whomever they believe in. Just because his choice is different from yours doesn’t mean he is wrong. You are one of the fascists Prof Wole Soyinka talked about,” said Dr FX.
Another elderly man replied, “Honestly I don’t think education matters after all @officialABAT is the President and “It’s your Lokan.
“Get a third Party vendor to print a certificate for her and walla.”
Also, among those who berated him for supporting the APC-led government of president Tinubu was C. Fortune Obi who said he was “backing a drug lord”.
“The nerve! Backing a drug lord who used a fake school certificate to exploit his community, and now you have the audacity to ask for financial assistance here. How shameless! ” said C. Fortune Obi.
Meanwhile, just one’s favour comes from anywhere, on Monday Mr Jacob Adewumi received a credit transfer of N1.3 million was made into Adeola’s bank account, confirming that her school fees had been paid
“Sincere appreciation to @BAT_lawyers for the alarm that came in. You guys are simply wonderful,” Mr Jacob Adewumi appreciated Bat lawyers. Adeola’s Tuition Sorted Out💯.
“Payment of #1,340,000 from BAT lawyers confirmed.

“Fees Fully Paid. We wish Miss Adewumi sound knowledge and retentive memory. We hope she will join us in the bar in few years time. Amen. Stay Gallant jacobadewumi,” Bat Lawyers responded.
Yet, even after having shorted out the school tuition, more donations continued to come in.
“To all progressives and PBAT supporters, thank you for standing up to defend your own.”
“I am happy to report that through your generous giving, we received the sum of #2,449,647
“Thanks to everyone who gave #1000, #10000, #100,000, and above. We’re truly grateful.
“Special thanks to @woye1 for the repost and support,” Mr Jacob added.
