Explosion in Moscow claims Russian General Kirillov, escalating Russia-Ukraine conflict allegations.

EPICSTORIAN – Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia’s Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Forces, was killed in a targeted explosion near a building entrance in Moscow.

Ukrainian forces reported that the explosive device, believed to have been concealed within an electric scooter, was remotely detonated.

The attack has been claimed by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU). Ukrainian officials justified the act, accusing Kirillov of orchestrating chemical attacks during the ongoing conflict. Kirillov had faced allegations of war crimes involving the use of chemical agents, further fueling tensions.

Russia’s government has yet to issue a detailed statement but condemned the assassination as an escalation of Ukraine’s covert operations. “This attack represents an act of terrorism,” a Kremlin spokesperson stated, promising retaliation.
