A storm surge and landslide have been killed at least 30 people, sweeping over 2,009 homes after days of heavy rains Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, officials reported from their different locations. 

Authorities from each of these countries,Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, the various incidents had occurred earlier this week

The director of Civil Protection, Alonso Amaya, in a report to a local news outlet, said 19 lives were claimed by the natural disaster in El Salvador.

According to a press source, more than  2,500 people in El Salvador have been rescued to safety, leaving their homes for  new places of shelters.

Who are the victims of the heavy rains in Guatemala

Two minors died after a landslide buried their home in the Soyapango district, located about six miles from capital San Salvador.

Guatemala’s National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred) said ‘10 people died due to the rains, and more than 350 people have been evacuated and are placed in shelters’.

Guatemalan authorities reported nearly 2,900 homes, 225 roads and 27 schools were damaged, CBN said.

The unfriendly wheather also continues to freeze people to death.
