Julius Malema slams Elon Musk, rejecting his call for international sanctions in a fiery online exchange
(EPICSTORIAN) – South African politician and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has hit back at billionaire Elon Musk after the tech mogul called for immediate sanctions against him, labeling him an “international criminal.”
The controversy began when Musk shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) supporting the idea of penalizing Malema. “Immediate sanctions for Malema and declaration of him as an international criminal!” Musk posted.
Julius Malema Vented His Spleen
Malema wasted no time responding, launching a scathing attack on Musk’s privileged background and accusing him of racial bias. “I really think you have entirely lost your left brain: a typical spoiled brat and direct beneficiary of Apartheid whiteness,” he wrote.
He went further, accusing Musk of failing to distinguish between individuals due to racial prejudice. “I know black people look the same to you, typical racist. Look closer, and you will realize those are two different people.”
Brushing off Musk’s call for sanctions, Malema stood firm. “America is exposing us to its stupidity. I don’t care about your sanctions; I will never stop fighting for black people to be equal to white people, and if that makes me an international criminal, I am proud to be one.”
Political Feud Heats Up
Malema, known for his fiery rhetoric and hardline stance on racial and economic justice in South Africa, frequently stirs controversy. As leader of the EFF, a radical left-wing party, he has been a vocal critic of white privilege and economic inequality.
Musk, originally from South Africa and now a U.S. citizen, often speaks out on global political issues. His latest remarks align with increasing international scrutiny of Malema’s influence and the EFF’s controversial tactics.
The Dispute’s Background
Musk did not specify what triggered his remarks, but Malema has long been a divisive figure in South African politics. His advocacy for radical land redistribution and his use of the chant “Kill the Boer”—which he defends as a historical struggle song—have sparked both support and outrage.

Musk has previously condemned Malema’s rhetoric, arguing that such statements fuel racial tensions and even violence. His latest call for sanctions appears to be part of a broader effort to curb Malema’s political influence on the global stage.
A War of Words with Global Implications
This clash underscores the ideological divide between Malema, who pushes for aggressive racial and economic reforms, and Musk, who champions technological innovation and libertarian-leaning governance.
