Iran's security officials threaten students over online posts criticizing late President Raisi, Amir Kabir says

Epicstorian News – Iran’s security officials have been threatening students in the country over online posts that criticize late President Ebrahim Raisi, Amir Kabir said.

Iran’s security department of Shahid Beheshti University has been sending threatening text messages to students, Kabir published on Telegram channel on Tuesday.

The texts the said students received contained “stern” warnings that that “their behavior and actions on university premises and social media concerning the news of Ebrahim Raisi’s death were under surveillance”.

One of the messages, received by the  members of the Beheshti University students’ on Telegram group, read, “The users of this group are under the supervision of Shahid Beheshti University’s security department.”

“Due to the inclusion of false content against the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the incitement of other students to illegal gatherings by some known members of the group, decisive and legal action will soon be taken against the violators.

“Protecting the students and the elites and future makers of the country is one of the inherent duties of the General Security Department of Shahid Beheshti University,” it read.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged from Tarbiat Modares University stating that the entrances have been segregated for male and female students, with over 18 cameras installed at the entrances, IranWire reported.

First-hand source said, Iran’s head of security also has instructed officers to carefully check the girls’ clothing before their entry into university premises.

Following the helicopter crash on Sunday, which resulted in the deaths of Ebrahim Raisi and several others, judicial and security authorities, along with the police, threatened citizens that their reactions to this incident were being closely monitored, IranWire added.

According to Media activists and journalists within Iran, security agencies have disrupted their lives with threatening calls to prevent the republishing of news related to Ebrahim Raisi’s death.

One of the journalist anonymously told IranWire that the Iran security threatened they would “arrest him if he didn’t delete the posts”.

“When I didn’t answer their calls, they contacted my uncle and brother, threatening that an arrest warrant had been issued for me and that if I did not delete my stories and posts, they would come to arrest me.”
