The French Prime Minister, who recently condemned Israel’s “targets of Shiite militant group Hezbollah”, with the argument that the recorded number of “civilian casualties was “terribly alarming”, said a Palestinian state is necessary for there to be peace within the region.
“There can be no peace in the Middle East without a two-state solution” existing between Israel and the Palestinians, he stated.

He also expressed deep concern over the war in Ukraine, highlighting the global community’s responsibility to stand firm against aggression.
“It is a place that is speaking the same language on Ukraine, which is being attacked, threatened in its borders and in its territorial integrity by the Russian war of aggression,” Macron continued.
The French president concluded by urging an end to double standards in addressing global conflicts.
“But it also defends a vision where there is no room for double standards, where all lives are equal for all conflicts throughout the world,” he stressed.
His comments, according to Analysts, if purely made without underneath political interest, may have revealed France’s position in promoting peace and equality through multilateral diplomacy, particularly in conflict-ridden regions like the Middle East.
