Tragic Dog Attack Claims Life in East London; Owner Faces Charges
EPICSTORIAN – A 42-year-old man has tragically died following a vicious dog attack in East London, police confirmed on Wednesday.
Officers responded to an emergency call on Shirley Road, Stratford, at 4:53 a.m. and discovered a man with severe injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his wounds in the hospital, Skynews has learned.

Leanne McDonnell, 32, has been charged with several offenses, including owning a dangerously out-of-control dog that caused the fatal incident. She also faces charges for failing to ensure the animal’s welfare and possessing a fighting dog.
Police disclosed that McDonnell is also accused of three counts related to a separate incident on November 18, involving the same dog, where no injuries were reported.
The dog, central to both attacks, has been seized by authorities. McDonnell is currently in custody and is expected to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
