Berit Reiss-Anderson, head of the Norwegian Noble committee, has honoured Mohammadi Narges in Islo for her courage and fight against women’s oppression, believing that her fight was not just for women in Iran but for women’s freedom all over the world.

Narge Mohammadi is a women’s right activist, who for this course has endured a series of improvement and harsh sentences.
In November 2019 she was arrested for attending the memorial protest of a victim of violence against women and was long detained, which drew the attention of the international body for justice in review of her case.
Following this announcement of victory, a grand ceremony will take place at the Oslo City Hall on 10 December, which marks the anniversary of founder Alfred Nobel’s death.
According to Berit Reiss-Andersen, during the honorary speech, on Friday, Narge Mohammadi’s courage to rise against discrimination and violence against women is unbeatable and she deserved to be honoured “for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all”
Narge’s issued statement to the New York Times explained that global support and recognition of her human rights advocacy makes her “more resolved, more responsible, more passionate and more hopeful”, read a post on the X social platform.
Five different Nobel prizes have been awarded this week, with the final Noble prize for economic science coming Monday.
