While a host of others who have completed their training were graduated today, the federal government launches new Youth empowerment training Program in the agricultural sector for Nigerian Graduates.

Among the officials of this special occasion was the ministry of water resources to mark the closing ceremony of a onewe training of young graduates in agricultural business program.

This training program was launched to groom the youths in the areas of poultry farming and crop production.

According to the minister, the program is part of President Tinubus concerted efforts to ensure food security for the citizens of Nigeria.

As part of the renewed hope agenda of Mr president, which promised to work on reviving the Nigerian economy to guarantee food security for the country, the ministry of water resources asserted that he’s working hard to provide drinking portable water and water for irrigation to improve Nigerian agriculture and provide food security.

The special guest at the occasion speak on the significance of agriculture on the nation’s economy, encouraging the youths to positively apply their knowledge acquired from the training program , which started in 2016.

“I want to use this opportunity to inform our participants that since the past 8 years those that have been lucky to participate in this program have been empowerment,” the minister said, “

“And with the little setbacks they have experienced, we also have given to them some help that they are now able to make a good living,” the minister said.

In a statement of gratitude to the government and ministry, some of the beneficiaries also gave their assurance to make the best out of the training program and help actualise the governments food security plan, “The little exposition I had during the training made me to know that there a lot about agriculture business; and even if you are not in the field there is a way to sell out your produce, so it’s impactful and we want to thank the honourable minister of water resources and sanitation and the director of lower river for this program.”
