Abuja (EPICSTORIAN) -The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has intercepted social media influencer, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border, preventing an alleged attempt to flee the country.
According to a press release issued on October 21, 2024, the NIS reported that Bobrisky is a “person of interest” in relation to his recent incarceration.
NIS Says Cross-dresser currently under interrogation
The statement, signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI KT Udo, noted that Bobrisky is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
While specific details about the reasons behind the interception were not disclosed, the NIS emphasized that it remains committed to its mandate of securing Nigeria’s borders and ensuring proper immigration control.
“The Service assures the public that it will continue to be civil and professional in its statutory responsibility of manning the country’s borders,” Udo added.

The Nigerian Immigration Service, in its press release, also reassured Nigerians that it will carry out its duties in line with established protocol to interrogate the suspect.
This interception as part of its efforts to safeguard national security, NIS has remained committed to effectively regulating border crossings against illegal escape by wanted criminals or offenders.
