Brasília, EPICSTORIAN — A pregnant teen was murdered in Brazil, and her unborn baby was stolen after a woman lured her with baby clothes
The 16-year-old girl, Emilly Sena, who had nine months pregnancy, was found buried in a backyard, according to a local source.
Sena’s body was discovered Thursday in Cuiabá, Brazil, at a home where she had gone to collect donated baby clothes.
Nataly Pereira, 25, later admitted to killing the teenager and cutting the baby from her womb.
Sena had been strangled before a sharp object was used to remove the child. A forensic specialist described the deep cuts on her abdomen as forming a “T” shape, confirming that she was still alive when the baby was taken.
Her body was placed in a shallow grave with wires wrapped around her neck.
The Pregnant Teen’s Husband

Pereira’s husband, Christian de Arruda, 28, according to a report, said his wife was pregnant. He met her at Santa Helena Hospital after she arrived with the newborn and attempted to register the child as their own.
A post on his social media account read, “Be well, my daughter,” celebrating the birth.
Suspicion arose when medical staff noticed Pereira showed no signs of having given birth. A physical examination exposed the deception, leading to police intervention.
Pereira, already a mother of three, told investigators she had suffered two miscarriages and was desperate to maintain the illusion of pregnancy.
Messages revealed that she had arranged to meet Sena under the pretense of donating baby clothes and a crib accessory. The teen’s mother, Ana Meridiane, said the two had been in contact on social media, where Pereira posed as an expectant mother. “She said she had received a lot of clothes and wanted to donate some to Emilly,” Meridiane said.
The investigation led to the arrests of Pereira’s husband, her brother-in-law, and another man. However, all three were released after Pereira claimed she acted alone.
Knives were found at the crime scene as forensic teams examined the house where Sena had been restrained before the killing.

Homicide and Persona Protection Department chief Caio Alexandre confirmed the ongoing investigation, saying forensic teams were working to establish the full sequence of events leading up to Sena’s death.
