Moscow — A Russian drone attack on a bus transporting workers in central Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region has left at least nine people dead, with dozens more injured.
Governor Sergiy Lysak confirmed the tragic attack early Wednesday morning, revealing the extent of the damage.
Russian Drone Strike Claims 9 Lives in Central Ukraine
The bus, traveling in Marganets—located about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the front line—was struck by the drone, which punctured a hole in the vehicle’s ceiling. Disturbing images shared by Lysak on Telegram displayed shattered glass and what appeared to be blood scattered across the bus floor.
30 People Injured in Russian Drone Attack
Lysak provided an update on the number of wounded, stating, “The number of wounded is constantly growing. As of now, there are 30 of them.” The attack has caused significant panic in the city of Marganets, a community of around 45,000 people.
Fires Break Out Across Multiple Ukrainian Regions
In addition to the deadly bus attack, Ukrainian authorities reported fires in several regions after Russian attacks overnight. The situation in Dnipropetrovsk and surrounding areas remains tense, as the ongoing conflict continues to affect civilian infrastructure.
