President Tinubu mourns with Family of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

President Tinubu mourns with Family of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

Abuja, July 28, EPICSTORIAN -President Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving Family of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

This was announced by the office of the presidency following the sudden passing of the late senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South District.

Ubah, 53 , has been reported to have died in London on July 27, 2024. However, the cause of his death is not yet known as at the time of this time.

His death was sudden, and there was specifically no record of prior illness.

According to a trusted source, the late senator had travelled to the UK for the university graduation of one of his sonsbefore Wednesday morning.

The issued letter of sympathy from the office of  president Tinubu read: “President Bola Tinubu extends his condolences to the family of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

“The deceased was a renowned businessman and politician. He was the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

“President Tinubu commiserates with the friends and colleagues of the late Senator, the National Assembly, and the government and people of Anambra State over this sad loss.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker, as well as for strength and comfort to his family.”

The Nigerian National Assembly members also have extended their condolences to the family of the departed senator.

President of the Senate, Sen Godswill Akpabio, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all National Assembly members, ay the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo mourn the death of Ubah.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramody, said:” It is with deep sorrow and profound regret that the Nigeria Senate announces the passing of our esteemed colleague, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who until his passing represented the Anambra South Senatorial District.

“Senator Ubah was an exemplary leader, a committed public servant, and a tireless advocate for his constituents. His untimely departure represents a significant loss to the Senate, his community, and the nation at large.”

“Prior to his illustrious career in public service, Senator Ifeanyi Uba distinguished himself as a prominent businessman and philanthropist.

“As the founder and CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, he made substantial contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector, fostering economic growth and creating numerous job opportunities.

“Through the Ifeanyi Uba Foundation, his philanthropic endeavors provided scholarships, healthcare, and vital support to the less privileged, profoundly impacting countless lives.’’

Others who commiserated with the family in a separate report included the Senate Committee Chairman on Privatization and Mobilization, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who said  described Uba’s death as ‘a huge shock and loss to Nigeria as a whole’.

“ My heart goes out to Ubah’s family, ndi Nnewi, Anambra South constituents, the good people of Anambra state, the government of Anambra state and my colleagues in the senate for the loss of our dearest friend and brother, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah,” SenatorOrji  Uzor kalu said.

“It’s a lot to deal with the shock of the news and the pain of the loss. His death is a big loss to Nigeria.’’
