(EPICSTORIAN) -The U.S. Supreme Court has , on Monday, October 7, rejected R. Kelly’s appeal, upholding his federal sex crimes conviction.
Robert Sylvester Kelly, American R&B singer, popularly known as R. Kelly, who is already serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking from a 2021 New York case, was convicted of child pornography in Chicago and sentenced to 20 additional years in 2023.
R. Kelly petitioned the Supreme Court, claiming he was unjustly prosecuted under a 2003 federal law that retroactively eliminated the statute of limitations for sex crimes involving minors, reported CNN.
